Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Safeguarding your personal data is a core commitment at RVingLife. This privacy statement explains how RVingLife.com gathers, processes, and protects information when you interact with our platform. By accessing or using RVingLife, you acknowledge the practices outlined here.

Who we are

RVingLife.com is operated by Enviro Design Products ("we", "our", "us"), a company headquartered in the United States. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about how we process your data or you want to exercise your data rights, you can contact us at [email protected].

Personal information we gather

When you register for an account, submit a listing, post a review, place an order, or contact us, we may collect the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Mailing or shipping address (when you place an order)
  • Account credentials (password is hashed; we never see your plaintext password)
  • Profile content you submit — listings, reviews, ratings, photos
  • Order details — items purchased, billing information (card details are processed by Stripe and not stored by us)

We only gather personal data that you voluntarily share with us. If you post information publicly through reviews, listings, or community forums, other users will be able to see that content.

How we use your information

  • Manage your user account and provide customer support
  • Send important service updates and account notifications
  • Process transactions, fulfill orders from our shop, and email receipts and shipping confirmations
  • Route you to the regional version of the site that matches your country (see "Country detection" below)
  • Personalize your browsing experience on the platform
  • Send promotional content (only with your explicit opt-in via the newsletter signup)
  • Improve our services through aggregated usage analysis (only with your consent, via the cookie banner)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms

Our lawful bases for processing your data

Under GDPR and UK GDPR we identify the legal grounds for each kind of processing:

  • Necessary cookies, account, cart, and order data — necessary for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without these the site can't keep you signed in, remember your shopping cart, or process your order.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We only set them after you grant analytics consent in our cookie banner. You can withdraw at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
  • Advertising cookies (Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager, Google Ads remarketing) — consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Same opt-in via the banner; withdrawable at any time.
  • Listings, reviews, and account-profile content you submit — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for operating a community RV directory, weighed against your privacy expectations.
  • Order processing and tax records — necessary for performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Newsletter — consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You must explicitly opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and one localStorage entry to make the site work and, with your consent, to understand how people use it. You can change your choice anytime via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Strictly necessary

These are set automatically. No consent required because they are essential to the service you requested.

We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you grant consent in our banner, Google's tags treat your visit as fully denied — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no identifiable beacons. This applies globally, not just to EU visitors.

Country detection

We use our hosting provider's edge headers to detect the country your IP address belongs to. This is used to route you to the page that matches your region's terminology — for example, a UK visitor lands on the "Caravan parks near me" page rather than the US "RV parks" version, and an Australian visitor lands on "Dump points near me" rather than "RV dump stations".

The detection is processed on our servers at the moment of the request. We do not store your IP address. The country code we receive is used to make the routing decision and then discarded. The lawful basis for this is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — routing you to the right regional content is a clear service-quality improvement, and you can always navigate to a different region's page manually.

Data retention

  • Account profile — for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the profile within 30 days.
  • Orders and receipts — 7 years (US and UK tax-record retention requirements).
  • Reviews and listings you posted — retained indefinitely as part of the community directory. On account deletion, your name is replaced with "Former user" but the listing or review text remains.
  • Analytics data (Google Analytics 4) — retained at Google's default of 14 months from your last visit.
  • Server access logs — 30 days (our hosting provider's default; we do not extend retention).
  • Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe. Use the link in any newsletter or email us.

Third parties we share data with

We have Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) in place with each of these providers covering GDPR Art. 28 obligations. International transfers of personal data from the EU or UK to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users and our platform.

Your rights

Under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, PIPEDA, the Australian Privacy Principles, and other privacy laws that may apply to you, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to certain kinds of processing
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or by unsubscribing from the newsletter
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — for example, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK, your data protection authority in the EU, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

California residents: your CCPA and CPRA rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including:

  • The right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it (covered above).
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Google Ads remarketing functionality we use may constitute "sharing" under CPRA. To opt out, reject the "Advertising" category in our cookie banner (or use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer at any time).
  • The right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your privacy rights.

Children under 13

RVingLife does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Third-party account connections

If you have linked your RVingLife account to an external service (such as a Google sign-in), you may disconnect that integration at any time through your account settings. Disconnecting will stop data sharing between RVingLife and the third-party service going forward.

Email communications

We may send you periodic emails related to your account, order updates, and (with your opt-in) the newsletter. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link so you can opt out at any time. Transactional messages related to your account activity or orders you placed will continue regardless of your marketing preferences.

External links

Our platform contains links to third-party websites. RVingLife is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any site you visit through links on our platform.

Data security

We implement industry-standard security protocols to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry- standard algorithms before storage; we never see your plaintext password.

Updates to this policy

RVingLife may modify this privacy policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website (and, for newsletter subscribers, by email). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page is bumped whenever the policy changes substantively. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

How to reach us

If you have questions or concerns regarding this privacy policy, wish to exercise any of your data rights, or want a copy of the information we hold about you, please contact us at [email protected]. You can also reach us through our contact form.
